Interested in conservation and environmental issues? This exciting opportunity combines active care for an endangered species with sustainable living in the jungles of Northern Thailand.
World City Links provides an unforgettable two week stay in an elephant sanctuary where participants are able to prepare food for the elephants, bath and wash the majestic creatures, and contribute to the running of the sanctuary by helping with day-to-day tasks.
The Asian elephant is an endangered species and holds a unique place in Thai culture and the Buddhist religion. The park has been open for 20 years, employs roughly 250 workers and looks after more than 70 elephants.
The park is surrounded by lush mountains and is divided down the middle by a river, providing a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. It is a great place for volunteers who also want to appreciate the Thai countryside.
Volunteers assist and work alongside elephant trainers and other park staff from 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Our representatives will meet you at Chiang Mai airport and take you to the Elephant Sanctuary where you will check in to your bamboo hut. You will also have the opportunity to visit Chiang Mai during your stay.
